Why does my cat suck my blanket whilst treading her feet all over it?
She is a tortoise shell, 4 years old and will sometimes stand on a soft fleece blanket, whilst it’s in her mouth and will tread all over it, purring.
She is kneading her paws in the same way that a kitten does to stimulate her mother to lactate. The sucking is like nursing. Apparently you have a very motherly blanket.
